New Build

Advances in technology, a change in public thinking and revised legislation have made micro- renewable energy systems a viable, and in some cases essential, alternative to more traditional energy sources.

At Active we understand that compliance with planning and building regulations is paramount, so we will be available to assist you at every stage of your project's development and ensure our systems are fit for purpose.

We will work with you and your home design-and-build team to devise the best solutions for making your property as efficient and as close to your budget as possible. Our Renewables Team can also advise you of any funding available to you to help manage costs.

Typical new build projects tend to incorporate heat pumps, underfloor heating and solar panels to optimise the heating and power capabilities of your new home in the most efficient manner.

Retro Fit

For those who are interested in installing renewables within an existing home, Active can design appropriate solutions with minimum disruption to you and the existing infrastructure at the property.

We regularly produce bespoke designs to suit retrofit property requirements and our team will provide a full consultation and survey with you to ensure you have the right size and combination of renewable energy systems to make best use of the natural resources on site and with the space available for the equipment.

During the installation, our engineers will install your technology quickly and safely, providing temporary heating and power if required.

Typical retrofit projects replace either old inefficient boilers or electric panel heating with new wet central heating systems connected to high temperature heat pumps. These systems are installed to allow the existing radiators to be kept, but in some cases they may need to be replaced by slightly bigger versions.

In suitable circumstances either solar hot water or solar PV can also be installed to enhance the carbon reduction and to lower running costs even further.
