Helping to save energy and create a healthier indoor environment
Heat recovery ventilation systems provide an energy efficient way to bring fresh filtered air into buildings, whilst removing stale air. As building efficiency is improved with insulation they naturally become more air-tight and therefore less well ventilated. This is where heat recovery ventilation comes into play. The recovery part of the ventilation means that the hot or cold energy in the air is extracted from the indoor air before it leaves the building and transferred to the incoming air, so that there is little energy lost.
As well as improving ventilation, heat recovery ventilation systems will improve carbon footprint as less electricity, gas or solid fuels are needed to heat a building. The systems also help to remove condensation, airborne contaminants and other toxins, creating a healthier indoor environment
